Goodreads Description

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

WHEN I First Read
January 2014

WHAT I Remember
Actually giving thought to the idea that a rockstar could be sexy. Musicians were never my thing but Jet changed my mind. A little too much run around drama.

WHY I Wanted to Re-Read
I wanted to re-read the Marked Men series for awhile and mostly because I remember finding Jet and Rome a little lackluster when compared to Rule and Nash and Rowdy, I was hoping my mind changed for the better after re-reading…

HOW I Felt After Re-Reading
…and it SO did. I remember LOVING Rule and liking Jet. The re-read totally renewed my love for Jet and Ayden in a way that wasn’t there the first time. I remember thinking the plot had too much runaround and excess drama but that is SO not the case. The plot felt extremely cohesive and the drama well-placed and completely consistent with the characters and what we know about them. I also warmed up to Cora more in this book because I remember finding her annoying at this point when I first read. NOW I’m super excited to re-read Rome because of all the books, my memory makes this my least favorite. But that’s another post.

WOULD You Re-Read Again?
Yeah, I would! I really anticipated not wanting to re-read Jet again after this second go around but I can definitely see myself re-reading this series and looking forward to this book in another year or two.

  1. It's like you're trying to keep me reminded that I need to start this series and see how I feel about it for myself... I haven't necessarily heard the greatest of things about Jet, BUT I'm curious about the series overall so... It will be read ;)
