My Thoughts on The Goal
The Belle
The Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy is hands down one of the best New Adult series out there. This series is smart, well-written, and not to mention absolutely hilarious. One of my favorite parts of this series as a whole is the quick wit banter and dialogue. The Goal was no exception.
While I was ridiculously excited to see this in my email and I read immediately after finishing my current read, knowing Sabrina was the heroine made me eyebrow raise a little. I wasn't sure how I felt about her but I have learned to trust in Elle...and I was not disappointed. I adored Sabrina. She had this beautiful juxtaposition of driven, focused, and aloof--euphemism for bitch, just ask her--with sensitivity and vulnerability. I loved that she was so focused on a career and to be able to put herself in a better place than what she grew up in.

Tucker. Oh, lawd, where do I start with this one? This auburn and bearded hottie was always a quiet but present force in the previous books. When we finally got to focus on him I couldn't have been more happy. His own juxtaposition of Southern gentleman and dirty talking fiend was delicious. He was such a freaking gentleman and I loved his old-fashioned ways. It made my heart melt. And then get him in the dark?! Wowza. Gentleman in the streets and a freak in the sheets, I fucking loved it.

Together? These two never made things easy. I really admired both Sabrina and Tucker for different reasons in their relationship. I loved that Tucker was steadfast and loyal to a fault. I loved that Sabrina didn't want to rely on somebody or ask for help, that she wanted to do everything on her own. That's something I could definitely relate to and I loved that Sabrina had this quality.

No plot spoilers but I will say, like all the previous books, the conflict and pacing of the novel was on point. I was immediately engaged, I didn't want to put the book down, and I loved getting to know these characters in depth and seeing old familiar faces. The moments with the 'glory boys' was amazing and always had me cackling! This series is everything romance should be, if you haven't checked out the Off-Campus series yet, you need to get your life right.

Backstage Pass
If you love ginger beards, strong and driven women, and difficult decisions...this book is for you.

  1. I totally loved The Goal! I definitely didn't know what to expect from this story (given how we know the characters from the other books), but I absolutely adored it. I enjoyed getting to know Sabrina, but I loved Tucker. LOVED Tucker. I'm so happy with this book, and definitely caps off my favorite (ever) NA series!
